01 / FIND YOUR BASE
Editorial planning suggestions, not hotel endorsements. Check the exact map pin, nearby meals, late check-in, lift access, parking and cancellation deadline. A coastal address alone does not guarantee a sea view.

02 / CONNECT THE JOURNEY
Useful for dispersed stops. Before paying, confirm accepted licence/IDP, passport and any original home licence requirement, driver age/experience, every named driver, insurance excess and exclusions. Add fuel/charging, parking, collection shuttle and return time.
Check the official website ↗Choose a base near a usable stop and fewer stops per day. Check the direction, transfer, final walk and last return bus. Airport bus600 connects the airport, Jungmun and Seogwipo; use the live timetable instead of assuming a fixed journey time.
Check the official website ↗Useful for the final connection or a missed bus. For a booked day vehicle, agree the total, hours, stops, waiting, tolls, parking, driver language and cancellation terms in writing. A short outbound ride does not guarantee a return vehicle.
03 / KEEP A PLAN B
Swap within your chosen region instead of crossing the island for one indoor stop. These are alternatives, not a weather-safety guarantee; severe wind or flooding may require staying put. Check opening notices and tickets first.
Indoor aquarium; compare ticket inclusions and any separate programmes.
Indoor media art; check lighting/sound suitability and current exhibitions.
Indoor galleries, with outdoor transfers between some spaces. Bring rain protection and check accessible routes.
Jeju history and culture indoors; check closure days and availability of special exhibitions.
04 / CHECK THEN PAY
Check the official reservation portal for Seongpanak/Gwaneumsa, current availability, trail controls and seasonal entry/return limits. Do not treat a booking as confirmation that a trail will open. Keep a coastal alternative.
Check the official website ↗Check sailing status, return departure, accepted ID and vehicle eligibility with the operator. Outside-vehicle restrictions have exceptions; do not assume a rental car can board. Allow for queues and keep an east-coast mainland plan if sailings stop.
